The Thames cable car is a cable car link across the River Thames in London. The service opened in June 2012 and comprises a one kilometer gondola line that crosses the River Thames from the Greenwich Peninsula to the Royal Docks.

It’s hilltop location provides sweeping views across the Thames to St Paul’s Cathedral and beyond. Greenwich Park is home to The Old Royal Observatory, the Observatory Planetarium, a bandstand, a children’s playground and hosts entertainment including puppet shows and workshops.
